Privacy policy.
How Vowmate intends to handle information on this website and in the Vowmate dating app.
Vowmate is still in development. This draft must be reviewed against the final app's actual data processing, service providers, location of operations, and applicable laws before launch.
1. Overview
Vowmate (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is developing a dating application intended for adults seeking serious relationships. This policy describes personal information associated with our website, vowmate.co, and the Vowmate app as features become available.
2. Information we collect or may collect
Website: The current launch website does not offer account registration, collect newsletter subscriptions, or embed third-party advertising trackers. Our hosting provider may process technical request data such as IP address, browser type, access time, and security logs to operate and protect the website.
App: Depending on the features you use, the app may process account identifiers and contact details; profile information such as name, birth date, relationship goals, preferences, photos, and location information you provide; messages and interactions; reports and moderation records; support communications; and device or usage information needed to operate the service.
Verification and payments: Phone verification may use your phone number and one-time codes. If face verification or paid subscriptions are launched, additional information may be processed by the relevant verification or payment providers. We will update this policy to identify the final integrations before those features are available.
3. How we use information
We may use information to create and maintain accounts, offer matching and messaging features, personalize preferences, verify access, prevent abuse, investigate reports, provide support, enforce community rules, maintain service security, and meet legal requirements.
4. Sharing, processors, and SMS consent
We may use service providers to operate infrastructure, authentication, messaging, fraud prevention, and future payment or verification services. For example, the app currently uses Supabase for backend and authentication capabilities; Twilio SMS delivery is planned but has not yet been activated for production.
We do not sell or share SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent information will not be shared with third parties for their own marketing. Service providers may process messaging data only as needed to deliver verification and operate the service, under applicable agreements.
Phone verification messages, when enabled, will be sent in response to authentication or security requests. Frequency varies based on user activity. Message and data rates may apply. See the SMS verification information.
5. Security and retention
We aim to use access controls and other technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information involved. No online system is completely risk-free. We keep data for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described, subject to legitimate retention needs such as security, dispute resolution, and legal obligations. Specific deletion timelines will be finalized before public launch.
6. Your choices and rights
Users should be able to update relevant profile information and request account deletion through the app when it launches. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to request access, correction, or deletion of personal data. We may need to verify an identity before honoring a request.
Do not send passwords, government ID photographs, or other sensitive details through public social media messages.
7. Contact and updates
For current launch and support inquiries, visit our contact page. A dedicated privacy-support email will be published before production launch. We may update this policy as the app's features and integrations are finalized.
